Ms.Bân's Winter

Are you wondering Why it is suddenly so cold these few days in Viet Nam???

Vietnamese people call this time of the year “ms. Bân's Winter”

Once upon a time in the beginning of winter, when the drops of rain falling like snowflakes from the clouds, Ms.Bân thought to herself, “my husband had to go out to work every day, he must have been freezing”. Soon afterward, she started stitching her husband a braided shirt.

Although Ms. Bân was determined, she was so slow and somewhat clumsy, she kept struggling with fabric and needle that it was almost springtime, the shirt still only had one sleeve.

Ms.Bân was not discouraged, she weaved through January and February, when the work was completed, it was already the few last days of March! Ms. Bân was so sad and disappointed.

As the story softened the Jade Emperor’s heart, he had pity on her and decided to make it cold for a few days for her husband to try on the shirt.

Since then, every year around March, although the cold season has passed, the hot season has come, but sometimes it becomes cold for a few days, people call that cold "Ms Bân’s Winter".
